About
Who I Am
I am a happy marine ecologist. From a purely ecological point of view, these are fantastic times: we are witnessing how a single species is rapidly altering its global home, in the process accelerating the extinction of many species, providing opportunities for other (fewer?) species, paving the way for a surge of new species and endangering its own existence. I try to understand how this is happening and anticipate the consequences. These are times to see whether there is truly intelligent life on Earth!
